Videos are a little tricky. You have the ability to upload video files to the Bridge, but they will need to be well edited and of a small size. Bridges to the Past is not aspiring to become a "media server", so we must have size restrictions for video. Big files may be very slow to upload and very slow for people to view. The best way around size and speed limitations is to sign yourself up for a free YouTube account and upload your videos there. You can make the videos private so that they will not show up in public YouTube searches. You will want to mark you video as “unlisted”.This will allow others to view the video on your Bridges to the Past website but not view it on YouTube. If you mark it “private” only you will be able to view the video and then family and friends wouldn’t be able to view the video on the Bridges to the Past Website.YouTube will provide you a link to the video.Click on the “share” button on the lower right hand side under the video once your upload is complete. Copy and paste this linkunder the “share” section the blank found in the Bridge “Videos” section and it will embed into your Bridge.Whenever you are uploading files, you need to take into account the size of the files and your upload speeds. Save yourself time and frustration by editing them down to size and cutting out irrelevant things before trying to upload.
