Raymond Kayl

Raymond B. Kayl, 91, of Ponca, died Thursday, December 19,1991 at a Sioux City hospital.Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 1991, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponca with the Rev. Robert Irwin officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery at South Creek. The Larkin Northside Funeral Home in Sioux City was in charge of arrangements.Mr. Kayl was born February 25, 1900 in Ponca and was a life-long resident. He married Dorothy Bennett September 21, 1930 in Newcastle .She died May 9, 1974 in South Sioux City. Ray famed all his adult life.Mr. Kayl was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponce, the Home of the Nazareth Council 9939 Third Degree Knights of Columbus and Fraternal Order of Eagles, South Sioux City.Survivors include three sons and their wives: Paul and Zona Kayl, Gary and Jeri Kayl, all of Ponca, and Patrick and Julie Kayl, Grand Island; three daughters: Donna and her husband Larry Lund, Carol and her husband, Jack Rahn, all of Ponca; Mary Ann Kayl of South Sioux City; two brothers, Joseph Kayl of Hartington, and Darrell Kayl of Hawaii; two sisters: Rose White, Laurel and Teresa Cullin, Merced CA; 22 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and three step grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son, Armand Kayl; a grandson Darrel Kayl; and seven brothers and sisters.
